Public Meetings Scheduled To Plan Safer Streets

You are invited to attend 2 upcoming public meetings to learn and provide input to make Middletown’s major arterial corridors safer for everyone. This is part of Connecticut’s Safe Streets For All (SS4A) program.

Wednesday, February 18, 2026, 4-8 p.m. in the Council Chamber of City Hall (245 deKoven Drive),  The focus of this meeting will be South Main Street and Saybrook Road & Main Street Extension. Drop in anytime to see displays and speak with the planners. A presentation will be made from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Monday, February 23, 2026, 4-8 p.m. in Wesleyan’s Exley Science Center, 265 Church Street (Woodhead Lounge on the ground floor).  The focus of this meeting will be Washington Street and Newfield Street.

For those unfamiliar with Exley Science center and the Woodhead Lounge, see the image below.  Parking will be available in Lot D off Lawn Ave. You can enter the building either from Church Street or Lawn Avenue.
