All are welcome to attend and connect with the beautiful scenery at the future Midden Lookout, located at the closed Middletown landfill. This is a free, family-friendly event with fun activities, snacks and refreshments. Read the full post for more details!

2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Rain Date – Sunday, October 18)
Location: 180 Johnson Street, parking at the Keating Building, activities at the top of the closed landfill.

Activities will include:

• Join a fun printmaking workshop with printmaker, illustrator and educator Sam Swap! Each participant will get their own linoleum block and carving tools, learn how to carve and print and bring home your own design! (Open to 5th Graders to Adults – 2:00-4:00PM)
• Get a sneak peek at the plans for this wildlife sanctuary in the North End and learn how to get involved.
• Walk with an ecologist and practice citizen science using cool nature apps.
• Hunt for natural “treasures” in our scavenger hunt.

Getting there: Navigate to the Middletown Recycling Center on Johnson Street. Follow instructions for parking when you arrive.
