The results of a 1-year study on how to make Middletown’s most dangerous streets safer will be shared at public information meetings on September 22 and September 24 in Middletown’s Council Chamber. Presentations by engineering firm CDM Smith will be given at 5 p.m., followed by questions and comments until 7 p.m. The meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 22 will focus on Washington and Newfield Streets. The meeting on Thursday, Sept. 24 will focus on South Main Street and Saybrook Road. More information can be found on the Project Website here.

The corridor studies have emphasized the safety of all roadway users, particularly  pedestrians, cyclists, transit riders, and other vulnerable populations, while incorporating public input and Complete Streets principles.
