Every year (late-May through mid-August) the Jonah Center organizes weekend “Paddle With A Purpose” work parties to remove invasive water chestnut plants from the lower Mattabesset River between Middletown and Cromwell.

We plan to hire a part-time Field Work Coordinator ($31/hour) and 3 part-time Field Workers ($22/hour) to assist volunteers on weekend mornings and to work as a team on weekday mornings. Continue reading →
